PENTAX Europe GmbH appoints Girts Cimermans President of Europe, Middle East and Africa

Hamburg, October 2011

PENTAX Europe GmbH, a division of HOYA Corporation, announced Girts Cimermans has been appointed President Europe, Middle East and Africa. In this new executive role, Girts Cimermans is responsible for leading all PENTAX LIFE CARE activities in European regions. 

“Girts brings to PENTAX the valuable expertise inexpansion in fast growing markets from various segments of the healthcare industry”, said Chris Japp, Global President of PENTAX LIFE CARE. “He has the credentials and business acumen to lead our business in Europe, Middle East and Africa, and to develop the strategy and infrastructure that will reinforce our position as a leading endoscopy solutions provider in EMEA.”

Mr. Cimermans joins PENTAX from KaVo Dental, a division of Danaher Corporation, where he was leading the expansion of KaVo in the growth markets of Eastern and Southern Europe and spearheading faster than market growth in this strategically important area. Prior to KaVo, Cimermans served over 10 years in several leadership positions in finance, sales and business management in GE Healthcare, lastly as President, GE Healthcare North Eastern Europe, driving business expansion and profitable growth. Cimermans holds a M.Sc. degree in Economics and Business Administration from Stockholm School of Economics.
