Sensor-shift Shake Reduction for blur-free images

The Optio S1 features a Shake Reduction mechanism, which effectively compensates for the camera shake which could cause blur images. It allows you to make sharp images even under demanding conditions.

5x wide-angle optical zoom

Despite its compact dimensions, PENTAX Optio S1 features a 5x wide-angle optical zoom covering focal lengths from 28mm wide angle to 140mm telephoto (in 35mm format). From spectacular landscape to tightly framed snapshots taken from a distance, just catch every detail.

Face Detection and Smile Capture functions

Making wonderful pictures has never been so easy, thanks to the Face Detection function, which automatically detects subject's faces and keeps them in sharp focus and optimum exposure. Discover the Smile Capture mode, which automatically releases the shutter the moment the camera detects the subject's smile.
