Returning your camera to Pentax for repair
To get warranty service, you must package your Pentax product carefully and send it (postage paid and insured) to the following address:

If your one year warranty period has expired, or if the repair is not covered under the terms of this warranty, we will send you a free repair estimate for your approval. Upon your approval of the estimate (and payment in full), your product will be put in line for repair. Repair time is approximately 5 working days (dependent on spares availability) after approval of an estimate. Approvals may be given by phone, with payment by Master Card or Visa. If you do not wish to proceed with the estimate, a variable fee will be charged to cover shipping costs back to the customer.
Error codes, What do they mean?
If your Pentax Zoom Compact shows an error code, you can see below the type of fault in the list below.
| Error Code | Description | Remedy |

| 'A' plus a number | Relates to an electronic fault on the main printed circuit board | Return the camera to Pentax for repair |
| 'E' plus a number | Shutter related fault | Return the camera to Pentax for repair |
| 'E' on its own | Transport fault, or possible that film not loaded correctly | Reload film, or if this does not solve the problem, return the camera to Pentax for repair |
| 'H' plus a number | Shutter related fault | Return the camera to Pentax for repair |
| 'U' plus a number | Zooming fault | Return the camera to Pentax for repair |
